Lecture at the Birmingham & Midland Institute

On Monday 9 September at 13:00, Caroline Archer-Parre and Ann-Marie Carey will be delivering a talk at the Birmingham & Midland Institute’s series of lunchtime lectures. The talk will present Baskerville, the man and the typeface, provide an over-view of the project, introduce the Team and the work undertaken todate.

The Birmingham and Midlands Institute was founded in 1854 by an Act of Parliament and arrived with a promise from its founders, led by Arthur Ryland, that it was for the ‘Diffusion and Advancement of Science, Literature and Art amongst all Classes of Persons resident in Birmingham and the Midland Counties’. It is a promise which still holds good today and the lunchtime lectures are delivered in fulfilment of that promise.

This talk has an entry fee of £5.00 and tickets can be booked here.
